Small Lymphocyte

Small lymphocyte in a normal blood film, stained with hematoxylin-eosin (H&E).  About 40% of white blood cells are lymphocytes, three quarters of which are T-cells.  The remainder are mostly B-cells, but hematopoietic are rare cells which also have this nondescript morphology.

The other cells visible in the field are red blood cells.
